TrueUSD (TUSD) is a fully collateralized, U.S. dollar–pegged stablecoin designed to offer maximum transparency, regulatory compliance, and accessibility within the digital asset economy. Every TUSD token is backed 1:1 by U.S. dollars held in escrow accounts with regulated financial institutions.
Issued by Archblock (formerly TrustToken), TUSD was one of the first USD-backed stablecoins to provide real-time attestations of reserves. These attestations are conducted by independent third-party auditing firms and made publicly available, giving users continuous assurance that each token is fully backed and redeemable for actual U.S. dollars.
As an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, TUSD is used across centralized exchanges, DeFi protocols, NFT marketplaces, and payment platforms. TUSD is used to transfer value between crypto and fiat without exposure to volatility. DeFi users deploy it in lending, borrowing, and liquidity pools to earn yield while maintaining price stability.
