Buy Ethereum 

You can buy Ethereum either with a card or with a wire transfer.

Purchases with cards are quick once you’ve added your card details.

If you choose to buy crypto with a wire transfer, you must first fund your account with EUR, USD or GBP. To ensure timely transactions in the fast-paced market, we have incorporated GBP wires through Faster Payments and EUR wires through SEPA. The next and final step is to make an exchange transaction using some or all of the transferred amount to acquire ETH.

Once the transaction is completed, the newly acquired ETH automatically appears in your Nexo Savings account and starts earning you compound interest.

Ethereum's divisibility allows for very precise transactions with small fractions of the currency. At Nexo, we've made it even more accessible by enabling users to purchase as little as $1 worth of ETH.

There are several factors that influence users' decisions about how much Ethereum to purchase, including supply, demand, availability, competition from other cryptocurrencies, and investor sentiment. Given the volatility of the market, the timing of ETH purchases is a matter of personal judgment based on each user's knowledge and confidence in the technology.

To earn crypto rewards, make sure the ratio of NEXO Tokens in your account against the rest of your portfolio is at least 1%​​​​​​. The rewards you get depend on your Loyalty tier – the higher your Loyalty tier is, the more rewards you’ll get.

If you want to get the maximum reward rate of 0.5%, join the Platinum Loyalty tier by maintaining the ratio between NEXO Tokens against the rest of your portfolio at 10% or more.

Example

Let’s say you stay within Nexo’s Platinum Loyalty tier and you buy $5,000 worth of ETH via the Nexo Exchange. That means you’ll get $25 worth of ETH in cashback:

$5,000*0.5% = $25 in ETH

Note: The total crypto rewards paid are limited up to $100,000 in exchange volume per month. That means you’ll get rewarded until your total monthly amount of swaps reaches $100,000. That limit resets back to $0 on the 1st day of each month.

To start earning staking rewards, swap your ETH for NETH (Nexo Staked Ethereum) at a 1:1 ratio. 

The yield you earn depends on the Ethereum network rate and the amount of ETH staked through Nexo. The newly acquired NETH serves as proof for your validation through Nexo’s validator node and can be swapped back for ETH in a single click.
