The Nexo Card is a crypto card that can be used as credit and debit. In both modes, it connects to your available balance to provide you with liquidity for your everyday expenses, online purchases, subscriptions, and more. The following two modes can be changed at any time and as often as you’d like.

Credit Mode: 

А natural extension of our Instant Crypto Credit Lines, Credit Mode allows you to make purchases without having to sell your valuable crypto. Put simply, you’ll be using the crypto in your account as security for repayment (i.e. collateral), and we give you fiat you can spend at borrowing rates starting at 0%. 

Credit Mode can help you retain the upside potential of your crypto but also use its value in everyday life. 

Debit Mode:

An easy and rewarding way to spend your EUR, GBP, and USD stablecoins, Debit Mode allows you to make purchases using your available balance. The only thing you need to do is top up funds and you’re ready to spend them while earning daily compound interest.

Debit Mode can help you grow your savings while having them available to spend at any time.

You’ll start receiving cashback on every purchase, paid out in NEXO Tokens or Bitcoin, with the option to change your reward currency at any time, and as often as you like. The more NEXO Tokens you have in your account, the more cashback you will receive when using your Nexo Card. Each card mode and Loyalty Tier has its own crypto cashback rate.

Credit Mode

• Platinum: 6% in NEXO Tokens or 1.5% in BTC

• Gold: 3% in NEXO Tokens or 0.9% in BTC

• Silver: 2.1% in NEXO Tokens or 0.6% in BTC

• Base: 1.5% in NEXO Tokens or 0.3% in BTC

Debit Mode 

• Platinum: 2% in NEXO Tokens or 0.5% in BTC

• Gold: 1% in NEXO Tokens or 0.3% in BTC

• Silver: 0.7% in NEXO Tokens or 0.2% in BTC

• Base: 0.5% in NEXO Tokens or 0.1% in BTC

Note that increased crypto cashback for Credit Mode is only available to new Nexo Card users. All others benefit from the regular crypto cashback terms which are as follows: 

• Platinum: 2% in NEXO Tokens or 0.5% in BTC

• Gold: 1% in NEXO Tokens or 0.3% in BTC

• Silver: 0.7% in NEXO Tokens or 0.2% in BTC

• Base: 0.5% in NEXO Tokens or 0.1% in BTC

The newly added crypto cashback for Debit Mode is only available to new Nexo Card users. All others benefit from the compound interest rates they earn on their balance. Here too the rate depends on your Loyalty Tier and changes if you’ve enabled the option to earn in NEXO Tokens.

• Platinum: 9% in NEXO Tokens or 7% in fiat currency

• Gold: 7% in NEXO Tokens or 6% in fiat currency

• Silver: 5.50% in NEXO Tokens or 5.25% in fiat currency

• Base: 5% in NEXO Tokens or fiat currency

The Nexo Card is completely free of charge. It can be activated, once you have added at least $50 to your Nexo account, and that balance can be spent instantly.

There’s also free shipping for the physical Nexo Card. To order a physical card, you need a portfolio balance of at least $500 and a Platinum Loyalty Tier.

Currently, only residents of the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK can order a Nexo Card. To be eligible, you also need to verify your identity.

Activating your virtual Nexo Card is almost instantaneous: 

1. Open the Nexo app and tap on the 'Card' section.

2. Tap on the 'Activate Nexo Card' button to issue your virtual card.

3. Add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.

4. You're now ready to make your first transaction!

To see your card number, expiration date and CVC, go to the Card section and tap on ‘Card Details’. You can also freeze or unfreeze your card, reveal or change its PIN, go through your transaction history, track your monthly transaction limits, and change your reward currency – BTC or NEXO.

If you’d like, you can also order a physical Nexo Card:

1. Open the Nexo app and go to the ‘Card’ tab.

2. Swipe left and tap on the ‘Order Nexo Card’ button.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions and wait up to 2 weeks for your card to arrive.

4. Once you receive your card, activate it by opening the Nexo app, entering your 16-digit card number, and selecting a PIN.

Depending on your Loyalty Tier, you can enjoy up to 5 free withdrawals:

• Silver: 1 free withdrawal

• Gold: 2 free withdrawals

• Platinum: 5 free withdrawals

Once you run out of free withdrawals, you’ll be charged only 1.99 EUR/GBP per additional withdrawal until your monthly limit resets again. Keep in mind that there are monthly and daily withdrawal limits on your Nexo Card. The ATM withdrawal limits for the physical card are as follows:

• Monthly: up to €10,000 / £9,000

• Daily: up to €2,000 / £1,800

Per single withdrawal: up to €600 / £540

Depending on your Loyalty Tier, you can enjoy up to €10,000 in free foreign transactions:

• Basic: No FX fees for up to €1,000 / £900 per month

• Silver: No FX fees for up to €2,000 / £1,800 per month

• Gold: No FX fees for up to €5,000 / £4,500 per month

• Platinum: No FX fees for up to €10,000 / £9,000 per month

Once you reach your currency exchange limit, you’ll be charged a modest 0.5% fee on foreign transactions until your monthly limit resets again. Keep in mind that there are monthly and daily transaction limits on your Nexo Card.

• Daily: up to €10,000 / £9,000
