Optimism (OP) is the native token of the Optimism network — one of the most widely adopted Ethereum layer-2 scaling solutions using optimistic rollup technology. Designed to drastically reduce gas fees and improve transaction speeds, Optimism processes transactions off-chain and then submits batched data to Ethereum for final settlement.
