To start accruing interest, clients in certain jurisdictions must proactively opt-in for the service in their Nexo account.

With automatic renewal, your term is prolonged for the same period once the interest payout is completed, granted your account balance at the time is above $5,000 worth of digital assets. This way, you continue accruing additional interest without any interruptions.

When your term renews automatically, by default, only the principal amount will be relocked, whereas the accrued interest will be added to your Savings Wallet.

To benefit from automatic renewal you need to enable the option when creating a term for your digital assets. If your account balance is below the $5,000 threshold on the term's due date, your fixed term will be unlocked and automatically renewing it will not be available.

You can choose to relock both the principal and the accrued in-kind interest during automatic term renewal to achieve a compounding effect. Once enabled, the feature will affect all your current and future terms.
