Pax Dollar (USDP) is a U.S. dollar–backed stablecoin issued by Paxos Trust Company, a regulated financial institution based in the United States. Each USDP token is fully backed 1:1 by U.S. dollar reserves held in FDIC-insured banks or backed by short-term U.S. Treasuries. This structure ensures that the token maintains a stable value while meeting high regulatory and transparency standards.
As an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain, USDP combines the reliability of traditional fiat with the efficiency of digital assets. It enables users to transfer, store, and use U.S. dollars on-chain — instantly and globally — without going through traditional banking rails.
